About Twyford House
Twyford House is a nursing home providing both nursing and residential care for older people and younger adults. We support people living with dementia, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. Offering both nursing and residential care in one home means people do not have to move on when their health changes. Somebody who arrives needing very little can stay put as needs increase, keeping the same room, the same staff and the same company. For a great many families that continuity is the single most important thing we provide. Nurses are here around the clock, so medication, skin care, nutrition and pain are managed on site and changes in health are noticed early. Alongside that, we work hard at the ordinary parts of the day, because being properly cared for and having a life worth living are not the same thing. Where sight or hearing has failed, we say who has come into the room and describe what is happening. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and visit if you are considering care locally.
