About The Manor House Nursing Home
The Manor House is a nursing home in Stafford supporting older people who need nursing care, people living with dementia, adults living with mental health needs, people with a physical disability and younger adults. We also support people living with an eating disorder, and we offer respite stays. With registered nurses on site, health needs are met here rather than becoming a reason to move someone. Medication, wounds, continence, long term conditions and end of life care are all looked after in the home by staff who already know the resident. Good nursing care depends on knowing people properly. Someone who cannot easily say that something hurts will show it another way, and it is the staff who know their usual manner who pick it up. We keep teams as consistent as we can for that reason, and we treat time spent with residents as part of the work. Where a resident is living with an eating disorder, mealtimes here are calm and free of confrontation, plans are agreed with the person, and we work jointly with specialist health teams rather than alone. For those living with mental health needs we watch for early changes and work alongside community teams. Respite stays are available, including recovery periods after hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good. If you would like to visit, please get in touch.
