About Queensway House
Queensway House is a nursing home in Stafford providing both nursing and residential care. Having qualified nursing staff on hand throughout the day and night means people can stay somewhere familiar as their needs change, rather than facing another move at the point when a move is hardest. We support older people and younger adults, including people managing a mental health condition. Because we offer residential as well as nursing care, we can support people whose needs vary considerably, and we take care not to run one routine and expect everyone to fit it. Alongside the clinical side of our work, the ordinary shape of a day gets just as much attention. Whether someone can get up when they want, eat something they actually fancy, have company when they want it and quiet when they do not, and carry on doing whatever they can still manage for themselves. Respite care is available too, whether planned so a family carer can take a proper break or arranged while someone regains strength after a hospital stay. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Relatives are welcome here, and we would rather raise a concern early than explain it afterwards. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.
