About The Manor
Here at The Manor, we are a nursing home based in Taunton, Somerset, and we are proud to provide a genuine home from home for the people who live with us. We support a wide range of needs under one roof, including older person care, nursing care, dementia care, physical disability and care for younger adults. This breadth of experience means our team understands that every person who comes through our doors has their own story, their own routines and their own way of doing things. We take that seriously. Our nursing care is at the heart of what we do. Having qualified nurses on site around the clock means that residents and their families can feel reassured that clinical needs are being met with confidence and consistency. For those living with dementia, we work hard to create an environment that feels calm, familiar and safe, taking time to really understand what matters most to each individual and building their care around that. We are equally committed to supporting younger adults and those living with a physical disability, recognising that these residents often have very specific goals around independence and wellbeing. We do our best to ensure that care feels empowering rather than limiting. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, and while we are pleased with that outcome, we see it as a reflection of everyday work rather than a destination. There is always more we can learn and improve upon, and we welcome feedback from residents and families as part of how we grow. If you are considering The Manor for yourself or someone you love, we would warmly encourage you to come and visit, meet the team and get a proper feel for the place. We think that matters far more than any words on a page.
