About Beauchamp House Nursing Home
Beauchamp House is a nursing home in Taunton. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing alongside help with daily life, including people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people who live with sight or hearing loss. Registered nurses are here at all hours, working with care staff who know the people they look after well. That combination matters. Clinical skill on its own is not enough if nobody notices that a person is quieter than usual or eating less than they did last week, and familiarity is what makes those things visible. We also offer respite stays for people who need nursing care for a short period, or where a family carer needs a proper break rather than a token one. We work hard to keep life here feeling like life. People choose when to get up, what to wear and how to spend the day. Meals are cooked on site and adjusted to what people can manage and actually enjoy. For those living with dementia we keep the surroundings calm and unhurried and take our lead from the person rather than correcting them. Families are part of this, not visitors to it, and we welcome their questions and their knowledge. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. You are welcome to come and look round.
