About Yew Tree Care Centre
Yew Tree Care Centre is a nursing home in Redcar. Having qualified nurses on duty means we can care for people whose health needs go beyond what a residential home can safely manage, and it usually means somebody can stay with us as their needs increase rather than facing another move at the hardest possible time. We care for people living with dementia, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss, and we also offer respite stays for those needing nursing care for a limited period. Clinically our attention goes where it counts: medication, skin integrity, nutrition and hydration, pain, safe moving and handling, and acting early when a condition is changing. Where dementia is part of the picture it shapes the whole home, from how we speak to people through to how calm the afternoons are and how we respond when somebody is distressed and wants to go home. Where mental ill health is involved we work closely with the community mental health teams so that what happens here fits with the rest of a person's care. Beyond the clinical side, this is where people live. Residents keep their own rooms and their own belongings, choose when to get up and what to eat, and can have company or quiet as they prefer. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please arrange to visit.
