About Marske Hall
Marske Hall is a nursing home in Redcar. We support older people and younger adults with nursing needs, including people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people with a physical disability and people managing a mental health condition. We offer respite stays as well as permanent places. Supporting that breadth of need in one home only works if the care is genuinely individual. A younger adult with a physical disability who wants to get out, study or work has almost nothing in common with an older person in the later stages of dementia, and pretending otherwise fails both. So we plan with each person separately, and we expect our staff to know the people they support properly rather than in general terms. Having nursing on site around the clock means health problems are caught early and managed here where possible. It spares people repeated hospital trips and gives families some relief from constant vigilance. We also think a home should feel like somewhere people live. Rooms belong to the person in them, visitors are welcome without appointment, and we would rather hear a complaint early than a polite silence that turns into a grievance. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering nursing care in Redcar and Cleveland, please come and look round and ask us whatever you need to.
