About Strawberry Fields Care Home
Strawberry Fields Care Home in Newark provides both residential and nursing care, which means people do not have to move on when their health needs grow. Registered nurses are on duty alongside our care team, and somebody who arrives needing only help with washing and dressing can stay with us when that changes. We look after older people, younger adults, people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. The nursing side covers management of long term conditions, wound and skin care, continence support, help with eating and swallowing difficulties, and careful oversight of medication, and we work closely with local GPs, district nurses and therapy teams. The residential side is less clinical and more domestic. People get up when they wake, eat what they like, and pass the day as they choose. For those living with dementia we keep the routine steady and the faces familiar, because that settles somebody more reliably than anything else available to us. Families are welcome whenever they want to come, and we would rather hear a concern early than late. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, and we would be glad to show you round.
