About Holly Tree Lodge Care Home
Holly Tree Lodge Care Home is in Gainsborough, providing nursing care to older adults, with respite stays also available. We support residents living with dementia, residents with a physical disability, and adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. Having qualified nurses on site at all hours changes what we can offer. Health needs are picked up and dealt with here, by people who already know the resident, which often avoids a hospital admission that would leave a frail or confused person weaker and more disoriented than before. Families can also get a proper clinical answer when they ring rather than being asked to wait for somebody to call back. We try to keep the nursing in its proper place. Medication, monitoring and clinical tasks have to be done correctly and on time, and then the day should belong to the resident: their meals, their visitors, their interests, fresh air, and a genuine say in how things go. For residents living with dementia, familiarity and an unhurried routine achieve more than anything else, and we build the day around that rather than around the rota. Respite stays are planned with the same care as a permanent admission. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. Anyone considering a nursing home for themselves or a relative is welcome to visit and see the place properly.
