About Southborough Nursing Home
Southborough Nursing Home is a nursing home in Surbiton. We care for adults who need qualified nursing support as well as help with everyday living, with registered nurses on duty at all hours so that clinical care can happen here rather than through repeated trips elsewhere. Most of our residents are older and many are living with dementia. We build the day around the person as far as we can. Unhurried mornings, meals somebody actually wants, familiar music, a garden to sit in and staff who know when company is welcome and when quiet is better. Where memory is failing, the atmosphere of a place does more work than any explanation, so we pay attention to tone and pace. We also support people with physical disabilities, where the right equipment and a real respect for how somebody prefers to be helped make the difference between feeling cared for and feeling handled. Younger adults with nursing needs live here too, and we try to make sure the life of the home has something in it for them. Respite stays are available, whether a family carer needs a planned break or somebody needs nursing support for a few weeks while recovering. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please arrange a visit if you would like to see the home for yourself.
