About St Andrew's Court

We are St Andrew's Court, a nursing home in Hull. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing alongside support with daily living, including people living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions and people with physical disabilities. Respite stays are available. Nurses on duty at every hour are what allow us to look after health needs as they change. Medication, wound care, continence, pain and the increasing frailty that often comes with great age can all be managed here, so nobody has to move again simply because their needs have grown. Families tell us regularly that avoiding another upheaval was their main concern when they came looking. Alongside the nursing we work to keep ordinary life going. People get up when they want, eat what they like, choose where to sit and keep their own belongings and habits. We take the trouble to learn a person's history and preferences, because staff who know somebody well are the ones who notice quickly when they are not themselves. Where we care for younger adults, we plan around their own interests and independence deliberately rather than expecting them to fit a routine built for people decades older. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Relatives are welcome at any reasonable hour. Please ring us if you would like to visit.
