About City Health Care Partnership CIC - Sunshine House
Sunshine House is a nursing home in Hull. We provide nursing care and respite stays, with registered nurses on site so that people whose health needs go beyond residential care can be looked after properly. Our focus is narrower than that of some homes and this is deliberate. Nursing care asks for clinical skill, careful observation and good record keeping, and it also asks for patience and kindness at times when people feel unwell or frightened. We try to hold both of those together. Pain relief, skin care, nutrition, mobility and medication are managed closely, and we work alongside GPs, community teams and hospital specialists rather than in isolation. Respite is an important part of what we do. A planned stay can give a family carer a genuine break, support someone through a difficult patch, or provide nursing input after a hospital admission while confidence and strength return. We want Sunshine House to feel like a place where people live rather than a clinical setting. Visitors are welcome, routines are flexible where clinical needs allow, and we ask what matters to each person rather than assuming that we already know. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. If you are looking at nursing care for yourself or a relative, please contact us and come to see the house for yourself.
