About Halliwell
Halliwell is a nursing home in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, caring for older people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with daily living. We also offer respite stays for those who need nursing care for a shorter period, whether to give a family carer a break or to help someone recover after a spell in hospital. Having nurses here means health needs can be met as they change, so people are not moved on at the point when familiar faces matter most. We manage long term conditions, provide wound and continence care, and offer end of life care with dignity and as little upheaval as we can arrange. For all that, residents here are people first. They choose when to get up, where to spend their time, what they eat and how much company they want. Meals are cooked on the premises and we pay attention to what people actually enjoy rather than what is simplest to serve. There is company and activity for those who want it and quiet for those who do not. Our staff know residents well, which is what allows them to notice when something is not quite right, and we work closely with local GPs and community health teams. Families are welcome throughout the day and kept properly informed. The Care Quality Commission most recently rated us good overall. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.
