About Colwall Care Home
Colwall Care Home is a nursing home near Malvern, caring for older people who need qualified nursing alongside help with everyday life, and for younger adults whose nursing needs are best met in a home like ours. Nurses are on duty day and night, so medication, wound care and conditions that need close watching are managed here rather than left until something goes wrong. Many of our residents are living with dementia. We keep the day unhurried and familiar, keep the same staff working with the same people and take time to understand what someone is telling us when words have become difficult. Rushing never saves time, so we plan on the basis that things take as long as they take. For residents with a physical disability the right equipment is in place and our staff are trained to help with moving and positioning comfortably and safely. Nursing is the foundation, not the whole building. Residents still choose when to get up, what they eat, where they sit and who visits, and the garden and the hills around us are part of what makes this a pleasant place to live. We offer respite stays for people needing nursing support for a short period and for family carers close to the end of their strength. Families are welcome, and we would always rather hear a concern early. Please ring to arrange a visit.
