About Choice Care Services
Choice Care provides support in people's own homes in Washington and across Sunderland. Our aim is to give people enough help to carry on living where they want to live, with support that arrives when it should. We visit older people needing a hand with washing, dressing, meals and medication, and people living with dementia, where familiar carers and a predictable routine matter more than almost anything else. We support adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability and people whose sight or hearing is impaired. We also support people working through problems with alcohol or drugs, where consistency and an absence of judgement count for most. Our carers are local, which keeps travel sensible and timekeeping honest, and it often means they know the neighbourhoods people have lived in for decades. Care starts with a home visit and an unhurried conversation. We write the plan around the routine that already exists and revisit it as circumstances change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring if you would like to talk it through.
