About Apollo Care
Apollo Care Southport provides care at home in Southport and the surrounding area. We support older adults and younger adults, people living with dementia, and those with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment. Most of the people we visit want one thing above everything else, which is to carry on living in their own home. Our job is to make that workable for as long as it can be. The help ranges from a short call in the morning to several visits a day: personal care, support with medication, meals, keeping the house in order, getting out, and company. For somebody with a sensory impairment the practical detail makes the difference: good lighting, clear contrast, sitting where your face can be seen when you speak, and taking the time to be properly understood instead of pressing on. Those small adjustments decide whether a person stays involved in their own care or gradually stops trying. We also act as a set of eyes for families living further away. If something seems different we say so early, while there is still something useful to be done about it, rather than waiting for a crisis to make it obvious. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. If you are starting to look into care at home in this area, ring us and we will give you a straight answer about what would help.
