About Outreach Services
We are an outreach and support provider based in Bootle, working across Sefton and the surrounding area, and we support people in their own homes and out in their communities. The people we work with include adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, adults living with mental ill health, older people and younger adults. What we do is less about tasks than about making a life workable. That might mean personal care and help with medication, or it might mean cooking, shopping, managing money and paperwork, or getting out to work, college, appointments and the places somebody actually wants to be. We plan support with the person, in their own words, and it stays theirs to change. Two things matter more than anything else in this work. The first is consistency: the same staff, routines that hold, and changes explained in advance rather than sprung on people. The second is doing things with somebody rather than for them, because independence is much easier to keep than to win back once it has gone. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are pleased about that, but the measure we care about more is whether the people we support would say their lives are better for our involvement, and that is the question we keep asking them. If you are trying to work out what support would help, ring us and we will talk it through honestly with you.
