Over the following weeks we step back deliberately, encouraging somebody to do more for themselves as strength and confidence return, and we are honest when the realistic answer is that some help will be needed for good. We work with older people and with younger adults, and across dementia, learning disabilities and autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities and sensory loss. We work closely with therapists, GPs, hospital teams and social workers, because this only works when everybody is pulling the same way. At the end of a period with us we give a clear account of what somebody can manage and what they will need. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
