About Office
We provide care and support to people in their own homes in Selby and the surrounding parts of North Yorkshire. Our work covers older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, and people whose physical disability makes everyday tasks harder than they should be. Most people come to us wanting the same thing, which is to stay in their own home with enough help to make that safe and manageable. So we ask what has become difficult, agree how we can help with exactly that, and leave the rest of somebody's life alone. Our visits can include help with getting up and going to bed, washing and dressing, prompting and support with medication, preparing meals and drinks, help with moving about safely, and keeping on top of shopping, laundry and the house. Some people need one call a day and others need several, and we adjust the arrangement as needs change. Covering a largely rural area only works if the rota is planned with travel in mind, so we do that and keep the same carers visiting the same households wherever we can. Our carers are trained for the work they take on and supervised in it, and we keep families and other professionals informed. If you would like to discuss care at home in this area, please ring us and we will come out to see you.
