About Cedar Court
We are Cedar Court, a home care agency in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. We support people in their own homes across the town and the surrounding area, working with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, and people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment. That is a wide range, and what the people we visit have in common is wanting to stay in the home they already have. Making that workable looks different for everybody, so we start with the person rather than with a list of what we provide, and we build the visits from there. Continuity is where most of our effort goes. The same carers attending the same households is harder to organise than people assume and it improves care more than anything else. A carer who knows somebody spots a change early, and that early notice is often what stops a small difficulty becoming a crisis. We keep families informed, work with other professionals involved, and review arrangements as needs move on. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
