Before any visits start we sit down with the person, and their family if they would like that, and agree what help is genuinely wanted, at what times and in what way. We write the plan in plain language and change it when circumstances change. We keep the team around each person small, because a familiar face at a predictable hour is worth a great deal, particularly for someone living with memory difficulties, and because carers who know someone notice the small changes that matter. Our staff are trained for the needs they will actually meet and are properly supervised. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission.
