Those answers become a plan written in plain language, agreed with the person and with family where they want that, and revisited when circumstances change rather than left to age in a folder. Calls run from a short morning visit through to several longer ones a day. We help with washing and dressing, medication prompted or given safely, meals people actually want to eat, shopping, laundry and housework, and getting out to appointments or to see people. For those living with dementia we keep the same carers going in and the routine steady, because familiarity does more good than any technique. We keep our rounds local so carers are not racing between calls, and we give notice when a regular carer is away. Staff train before working alone and are supervised in people's homes once they do. We are a newer team and have not yet had a full inspection of our own. Please ask us searching questions before you decide anything.
