We are Mina Care, a home care provider based in Wellingborough supporting people in their own homes across North Northamptonshire. We work with older people and people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and younger adults who need support to live independently. Everything begins with a visit rather than a package. We talk with the person, and with family if that is what they want, about what has become difficult, what is still manageable and what kind of help would actually fit their day. The plan comes out of that conversation and gets revised as things change rather than sitting untouched until a review falls due. What we provide might be a single morning call to get somebody washed, dressed and fed, or several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and the running of a household. Wherever a person can still do something for themselves, we support them to carry on rather than taking it over. We work at continuity because it makes for better care and because it is what allows somebody to mention a worry they would never raise with a stranger.
