About Connecting Hands Healthcare Services
Connecting Hands Healthcare provides support in people's own homes and in the community, working from Rushden across North Northamptonshire. Our work is with adults who have learning disabilities and with autistic adults. We support people to live in their own homes and to do the ordinary things that make a life, from cooking and shopping to managing money, getting to appointments, attending college or work and keeping up with friends and family. Support is planned with the person, not for them. We begin by asking what someone wants their week to look like, what they can already manage, where help genuinely makes a difference and where it would simply get in the way. Those answers become the plan, and we revisit them when people change their minds, which they are entitled to do. For autistic people we pay close attention to communication, predictability and sensory needs. Getting those right at the start prevents most of the problems that would otherwise appear later. We work alongside families, social workers and health teams, while keeping the person in charge of decisions about their own life. Our staff are trained for the people they actually support and are supervised properly once they are working. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us if you would like to discuss support.
