About The Annex
The Annex provides support to people in their own homes in Kettering and the surrounding area. We work with adults who have a learning disability, adults who are autistic, people living with mental health conditions, and people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment. Our approach is to support the life a person wants rather than to manage them. We begin by asking what matters, what is difficult, and what someone would prefer to do without help, and we build the support around those answers. That might mean assistance with personal care and medication, or it might mean help to run a home, do the shopping, cook, manage money, get to appointments, or take part in work, study and the things a person enjoys. How someone communicates shapes everything we do, so we take time to learn it properly. For autistic people especially, a predictable routine, careful notice of sensory needs and staff who do not change constantly are what make support feel safe rather than intrusive. Where a person wants to do more for themselves, we support the practice and then step back, which takes patience and staff who know the individual well. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to discuss support for yourself or someone you care about, please get in touch.
