About Cera
Cera provides care and support in people's own homes across Lincolnshire, working from our base in Boston. We visit older people, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, younger adults, and people working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs. We would rather be straight with you from the start. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us as requires improvement. We are not going to write around that. The findings were taken seriously, there is an improvement plan we are working through, and if you are considering us you should ask directly what has changed and what is still outstanding. You will get a plain answer. What we are trying to do has not changed. The work covers personal care, medication, meals, moving safely about the house, laundry, shopping, appointments and unhurried company. Working across a rural county means distances are real, so we plan rounds geographically and keep them stable, which also means people see the same few faces rather than whoever the rota threw up. Genuine improvement comes from listening to the households we visit and then acting rather than recording. That is where our attention is, and anybody is welcome to hold us to it.
