About Walnut Care at Home

We are Walnut Care at Home, a home care agency supporting people in Boston and across the surrounding parts of Lincolnshire. Ours is a largely rural area, and we know how much it matters here that somebody reliable actually arrives, on time, at a house that may be a fair distance from anywhere. We plan our rounds so that people are not left waiting and wondering. We support older people who need help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping or keeping on top of the house. We support people living with dementia, where a familiar face and a predictable routine do more good than almost anything else, so we keep the same small team visiting wherever we can. We also work with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, with people who have a physical disability and with people who have a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we work and how we communicate to suit the individual rather than the other way round. Every arrangement starts with a visit and a proper conversation about what would genuinely help and how often. We agree the detail, write it down clearly and review it when things change. Care workers who visit regularly notice a shift in appetite, mood or steadiness long before it becomes a crisis, and we encourage them to say so.
