About First Line Healthcare
First Line Healthcare provides care in people's own homes across St Leonards on Sea and the surrounding parts of East Sussex. We work from a simple idea: that most people would rather stay where they are, and that with the right support at the right times, they usually can. The people we visit include older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with a learning disability, autistic people, and people with physical disabilities or with sight and hearing loss. Some need a short call once a day. Others need several longer visits, or support that continues through the evening. We arrange the pattern around the person rather than around our rota. Continuity matters more than almost anything else in home care. Someone living with dementia should not have to work out who a stranger is every morning, and an autistic person should not have their week disrupted by unfamiliar faces turning up unannounced. We put real effort into keeping the same small team with the same people. We also keep families properly informed, particularly where they live at a distance and rely on us to tell them how things really are. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to discuss support at home, we are happy to visit and talk it over.
