About Axe Valley Home Care
We are Axe Valley Home Care, and we support older people in their own homes in Seaton and across the Axe Valley in east Devon. We do one thing and we try to do it properly: helping people carry on living at home for as long as that is what they want. That means help with the everyday business of getting through the day. Getting up and dressed, a bath or a shower, medication taken on time, a proper meal cooked, the shopping fetched, the laundry done, a lift to the surgery. It also means company, which is not a soft extra in a rural area where somebody can go days without seeing anybody. A care worker who sits down for a cup of tea, looks at the photographs and remembers what was said last week is doing something genuinely useful. This is a rural part of Devon, so we plan our rounds around geography as well as need, and if we are running late we ring rather than leaving somebody watching the window. We keep the same care workers with the same households wherever we can, because familiarity is what builds trust. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch for an unhurried conversation.
