About Advance Support and Enabling Service

Advance Support and Enabling supports people in their own homes in and around Exeter, Devon. We work with adults who have a learning disability or autism, people managing a mental health condition, those with a physical disability, people living with a visual or hearing impairment, and older people. We also support younger adults. The word enabling matters to us. Our aim is to support people to run their own lives rather than to run their lives for them. We ask what somebody wants their week to look like, what they manage well themselves and where help would make a real difference, then we build support around those answers. That might be assistance with personal care, medication and household tasks, or it might be help to get out to work, college, clubs or family, or support to build skills around cooking, shopping and managing money. We adapt how we communicate to suit the person, and we take time to learn what helps someone feel settled and what causes them stress. Routines that fit the individual achieve far more than any amount of policy. Keeping teams small matters here, so we send staff who know the person and who are trained for the particular support they provide, and we work alongside community teams and health professionals. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch to talk about support.
