That means starting with somebody's tenancy, their money, their post, their appointments and their routines, and helping with whichever of those has become unmanageable without taking over the parts that have not. Working across a largely rural county shapes the practical side. Distances are real and villages are scattered, so we plan rounds geographically and keep them stable, which also means people see the same few faces rather than whoever the rota threw up. For some of the people we support the work is personal care, medication and making the day run safely. For others it is quite different, with somebody alongside them at college, at work or on a journey they would not manage alone. Consistency carries enormous weight in both. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We are happy to be asked about our training and staffing.
