About Revolution Home Care
Revolution Home Care provides care at home to adults across Chesterfield and the surrounding part of Derbyshire. We visit older people who need help to keep living in their own houses, adults living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults who need support to live independently. What we do depends on the person. It might be half an hour first thing to help somebody wash, dress and get going, or several longer calls covering personal care, medication, cooking, laundry and shopping. For some people the most valuable part of a visit is getting out of the house or simply having somebody look in. Two things take up most of our attention. One is arriving when we said we would, because a call at an unpredictable hour creates more worry than it settles. The other is sending people the person already knows, because nobody should have to explain themselves afresh every week, and a familiar carer is the one who notices that something has changed. That noticing is often what keeps a person out of hospital. Support is agreed with the person, and with family where they want them involved, and we change it when needs change rather than waiting for a review date.
