About PharmEng

PharmEng provides care in people's own homes for people living in and around the City of London. We support older people, adults living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic adults, those living with mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities or sensory loss, and younger adults. Most people come to us because they want to stay where they are. Their own place, their own routine, their own front door. Our work is making that practical for as long as it sensibly can be, and being honest when circumstances are changing rather than letting a situation drift towards a crisis. Support is planned with the person and not handed to them. For some households that is a single call a day, covering personal care, medicines and a proper conversation with somebody who is not in a hurry. For others it grows into several visits, or longer periods where somebody should not be alone for long. We keep the same small team going to the same homes wherever we can. Familiarity is what allows a care worker to notice that a person is quieter than usual or has not been eating, and to raise it while it is still a small matter. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are glad to be questioned closely about how we recruit, train and supervise our staff. Please get in touch.
