About The Good Care Group

The Good Care Group provides care in people's own homes in London. We support older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss, and our purpose is to make staying at home a realistic option even when needs are considerable. A great many people would rather remain in the house they know, among their own things and their own neighbours, than move anywhere else, and with the right support that is usually achievable. We begin by understanding how somebody's day actually runs, what has become difficult, what they still manage perfectly well and what they want their life to look like. The plan we agree follows from that, is written down clearly and is reviewed as circumstances change. The support may cover washing and dressing, medication, meals and nutrition, help to move safely about the home, household tasks, and getting out to appointments, to friends and into the city. For people living with dementia, consistency is the most valuable thing we can provide, so we keep the same carers going to the same person and work at their pace rather than the clock's. We train our carers for the specific needs they will meet, supervise them properly and give them experienced colleagues to turn to. Families are kept informed and can always reach somebody who knows the situation. If you are considering care at home in London, please contact us and we will talk it through honestly.
