Much of our work is with adults who have learning disabilities and with autistic adults, alongside older people and younger adults moving towards living independently. We begin with what the person wants their life to look like rather than with a list of tasks. For many of those we support, our purpose is not to do things for them but to make it possible for them to do things themselves, and then to step back. That covers cooking, managing money, getting to a job or a course, using the bus, and dealing with the everyday business that can be daunting on your own.
