Our work is about people having a life of their own, in their own place, with support arranged around what they want rather than around what is convenient for us. We support adults with learning disabilities and autism, including many younger adults making the move into independent living, and we support older people who need help with everyday routines. Support might involve personal care or medication, help with cooking, cleaning, shopping and money, or going along to work, college, an appointment or a new activity until somebody feels able to manage it alone. Where our involvement can reduce over time, we treat that as the job going well. Autism support here begins with the individual. Communication is central.
