About Alina Homecare

We are Alina Homecare Poole, a home care agency supporting people in their own homes across Poole and the surrounding area. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment, and people affected by eating disorders or by alcohol and drug misuse. That range means there is no standard package to offer. We begin by finding out what an ordinary day looks like for the person, where it has become difficult and what they want to go on doing themselves, and the support follows from those answers. Where somebody is living with an eating disorder, mealtimes can be the hardest part of a day and a carer who is clumsy about it makes things worse. We follow the plan in place with the person's clinical team rather than improvising, and we aim to be a steady presence rather than another source of pressure. Continuity of carers matters throughout, and we build rotas around it as far as we are able. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
