Giving a person the chance to do a thing themselves, slowly, rather than doing it for them because it is quicker. Moving somebody comfortably rather than merely safely. For the younger adults we support, the job is usually to make independence workable rather than to take things over. We start with a conversation and not a form. What can you still manage. What has become difficult. What would you rather we did not touch. From that we agree a plan, write it plainly, and revise it when things change. We have not yet had a full inspection by the Care Quality Commission, so there is no rating to show you. Ring us and judge us on the visit.
