About Rainbow

We are Bournemouth Rainbow, supporting people in their own homes across the town and the surrounding area. The people we work with cover a wide range. Older people and people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition or an eating disorder, people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, younger adults building independent lives, and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug use. With a spread like that we do not offer a standard package. We visit first, talk properly with the person and with family where that is wanted, and agree what the support should genuinely cover. For some it is a short call each morning. For others it is several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and the running of a household, or support that is far more about routine, encouragement and somebody turning up reliably than about practical tasks. Where a person's needs call for specialist understanding, we prepare the carers going in rather than leaving them to work it out on the doorstep, and we keep the same carers with the same households wherever the rota allows. We liaise with GPs, district nurses, community teams and social workers. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please get in touch to discuss what would help.
