About Positive Core Care
We are Positive Core Care, supporting adults in their own homes across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. We support older people and people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and younger adults who need help with daily life. The work is practical: help with washing and dressing, support with medication, meals prepared properly, shopping, housework, and a hand getting out of the house. For some people that is one call a day and for others it is several. Because we are guests in somebody's home, they set the terms. We ask how things are usually done and we do them that way rather than arriving with a system of our own. We agree the times that suit and we keep to them, since a late call is no small matter when somebody is waiting to get up or needs their tablets. For somebody living with dementia, a familiar worker arriving at a familiar time is worth a great deal, so we try hard to keep the same small group of people visiting. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. Until we have, please ask us direct questions about recruitment, training, supervision and who answers the phone out of hours.
