About Oxford Point

Oxford Point provides home care across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, supporting people in their own homes. Our work is with older adults and with younger adults, and we keep those two things distinct rather than running everybody through the same routine. For most of the older people we visit, the whole point of us is that they stay where they are rather than move. For the younger adults we support, the job is usually to make independence workable rather than to take things over. We start with a conversation and not a form. What can you still manage. What has become difficult. What would you rather we left alone entirely. From that we agree a plan, write it in plain language, and revise it when things change, which they generally do. Visits run from half an hour upwards and cover personal care, medicines, meals, housework, shopping, appointments and company. We aim to send the same few workers to each household, because being let in by name matters more than any written procedure. We will also say honestly when what is needed has grown past what can be delivered safely at home. We have not yet had a full inspection by the Care Quality Commission, so there is no overall rating to show you. We would rather state that plainly. Call us and judge us on the visit.
