About Braeburn Lodge
Braeburn Lodge is a residential care home in Reading supporting a broad range of adults. Many of our residents are older people, including those living with dementia, and we also support adults with mental health needs, people with a physical disability, residents living with sight or hearing loss and some younger adults. That range means assessment matters. Before anybody moves in we want to be sure we can meet their needs properly and that the placement will work for them and for the people already living here, and we say so honestly when we think we are not the right place. Support is planned one person at a time. For one resident that may mean help with most of the day, including personal care and help to move safely. For another it may mean very little practical help but a good deal of structure and staff who understand how they communicate. For residents living with dementia we keep the house familiar and the staff consistent. For residents with mental health needs a calm household and staff who notice when something has shifted do most of the good. Where there is sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate. Respite stays are available. Please contact us if you would like to visit and see how the home runs.
