About Hollyrose House
Hollyrose House is a residential care home in Grays supporting adults with a range of needs, including people living with dementia, adults with mental health needs, and people whose lives have been affected by eating disorders or by alcohol or drug dependency. Many of those living here are younger adults. That range means assessment matters. Before anybody moves in we want to be sure we can meet their needs properly and that the placement will work for them and for the people already living here, and we say so honestly when we think we are not the right place. Support of this kind works best when the house itself is calm, predictable and free of judgement. We keep our staff team as consistent as we can, we get to know people well enough to notice when something has shifted, and we work alongside the health professionals involved rather than in parallel with them. Medication is managed carefully. Residents choose how they spend the day, what they eat, whether they want company and who visits. Where somebody is working towards more independence we support that properly rather than talking about it. Respite stays are available. Please get in touch if you would like to visit and see how we work.
