About Ashleigh House
Ashleigh House provides residential care in Redhill for adults, including younger adults and adults with learning disabilities and autism. We also offer planned respite stays. Day to day our work is practical. Helping people with personal care and medicines, cooking meals people actually want to eat, running a household, and supporting people to get out to the activities, work or education that matter to them. Where somebody communicates differently or needs the day to be predictable, we work to that rather than to a general routine. We would rather be straightforward about our inspection position than have families discover it elsewhere. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We are not going to argue with the findings. They described real gaps, and our manager and staff team have been working through them, with tighter medicines practice, clearer records, more training and supervision, and regular internal checks so that problems surface quickly. We know improvement has to be demonstrated rather than asserted, and we are not there yet. If you are considering us for somebody, come and look round properly, ask exactly what has changed since the inspection, and spend time with the people who already live here rather than relying on our own account of ourselves.
