About Longdown Road
Here at Longdown Road, we provide residential care for adults in the heart of Epsom, Surrey. We support people with learning disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities, and we welcome younger adults who need a place where they can feel genuinely at home rather than just accommodated. We offer both long term residential placements and respite care, so whether someone needs a permanent base or a short break, we aim to make their time with us as comfortable and as personal as possible. Respite care in particular can make an enormous difference, both for the individual and for the family members or carers who support them day to day, and we take that responsibility seriously. We know that our most recent CQC rating reflects areas where we need to do better, and we are honest about that. We have been working through the feedback carefully and making real, practical changes to the way we operate. We would rather acknowledge where we are and show what we are doing about it than gloss over it. The people we support deserve that honesty, and so do their families. What we can say with confidence is that the people living here matter to us as individuals. We take time to understand how each person communicates, what their routines look like, what makes them comfortable and what does not. Support is built around the person, not the other way around. If you are looking for care in the Epsom area, for yourself or for someone you care about, we would welcome the chance to have an open conversation. Come and visit us, ask us the difficult questions, and see for yourself whether Longdown Road feels like the right fit. We would much rather you made a fully informed decision than a rushed one.
