About William Court and Nunn Court

William Court and Nunn Court are residential care homes in Nottingham. Those living with us include older people, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions and people living with sight or hearing loss. We are home to younger adults as well as older ones, and we offer respite stays. Running two houses has a particular advantage. Each stays small enough that the people living in it are genuinely known rather than nominally known, while there is still company and activity next door for anybody who wants it. Being properly known is the thing a small home can offer that a large one struggles to. A mixed household also means we cannot run one routine and expect it to suit everybody, so we work out individually what a good day looks like for each person. For some it is company and something going on. For others it is their own room and being left in peace. Where somebody communicates differently we sort that out properly at the start, because everything else rests on it. The Care Quality Commission rates us good overall. We ask the people who live here and the people who visit them, because they notice different things.
