About RoseLea House
RoseLea House is a residential care home in Nottingham. We support older people and younger adults, including adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults and people managing mental health conditions, and we offer respite stays. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us outstanding overall. We are proud of it and careful with it, because a rating describes one particular week and everything that earned it has to keep happening afterwards. What sits behind it is fairly ordinary. Because the people here have genuinely different needs, we plan support one person at a time rather than running a routine and hoping it stretches. What settles an older person is not what gives a younger adult with a learning disability confidence, and doing both properly takes attention to detail: how somebody likes to be addressed, what they can still do themselves, what makes a difficult day and what heads it off. We also take complaints seriously, which sounds small and is not. Most of what we have improved here started with a resident or a relative telling us plainly that something was not good enough, and we would much rather hear that than be protected from it. Nottingham gives people reason to get out, and we support that as far as anybody wants to take it. If you are considering a home for yourself or someone you love, please come and see us and ask us anything.
