Here at Orchard House, we provide residential care for older people in a warm and welcoming setting in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. We are proud to have received a "good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our whole team puts in every single day to make sure the people living with us feel safe, respected and at home. We support older adults across a range of needs, including residential care, dementia care and respite care. Whether someone moves in with us permanently or comes for a shorter stay to recover or give a family carer some breathing space, we work hard to make sure every person feels settled and cared for as an individual. We take the time to get to know each resident, understanding what matters to them, what their routines look like and how they like to spend their days. We know that a dementia diagnosis affects not just the person living with it but the whole family, and we try to be a reassuring presence for everyone involved. Our approach focuses on familiarity, calm and maintaining as much independence as possible for each resident. For those joining us on a respite basis, we want the experience to feel just as personal and comfortable as it would for a long term resident. A shorter stay should never mean a lesser experience. We are based in Nottingham and feel very much part of the local community. Families are always welcome here, and we encourage people to visit, ask questions and stay involved in the lives of their loved ones.
