About Falcon House Care Home
Falcon House is a residential care home in Nottingham. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, and we take respite bookings for short stays. We think a care home should interfere with somebody's life as little as possible. People here choose when to get up, what to do with the day and how much company they want. Meals are cooked on site and we take an interest in what people actually like eating. For those living with dementia we keep things calm, familiar and unhurried, and we work with the person's own sense of the world rather than against it. Family involvement is important to us. Relatives usually know things that no assessment picks up, and they are welcome here without formality or fixed visiting hours. We want to be honest with anybody considering the home. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We have taken the findings seriously and are working through the areas identified. We would encourage you to ask us directly what was found and what has changed, and we will answer plainly. If you would like to visit, come on a normal day rather than an arranged one, and judge the place as it is. We are happy to show anyone round.
