About Ash Villa

We are Ash Villa, a residential care home near Nottingham. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Respite stays are available. That is a range of needs living under one roof, and it only works if we plan around individuals rather than running one routine for everyone. Somebody who wants a sociable, busy day and somebody who needs quiet and an entirely predictable rhythm can both live well here, provided we pay attention to who needs what and when. So we ask, we observe, and we adapt. The help itself covers personal care, medication, meals and mobility, and we are just as concerned with standing back where somebody can manage for themselves. Communication gets proper attention too, because how a person prefers to be given information is the basis of everything else. For people living with dementia, the useful work is in the detail: knowing a person's history and going at their pace rather than the rota's. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families and friends are welcome at any reasonable hour. Please ring us if you would like to look round.
